After surviving the streets of Philadelphia and Trenton, I finally realized a longstanding dream of going to Australia. I was supposed to be there for about three or four months as part of an internatinal study abroad program, but I didn't return to the States and the Delaware Valley for good for a year and half.

In that time, I earned some decent grades, swam in crock-infested waters and biked or hitched my way through a good chunk of the South Pacific, including vast parts of Australia, the North Island of New Zealand and the the main island of Fiji.

I was damned lucky to make it back alive -- and even more blessed to bring back some of the tales posted here.
